Get To Know Me
Hello Friends!
I'm a musician from Stephenville Texas. T-Dub (Thomas Walker) is what the people call me and you can too!
I've been playing piano for most of my life and have always had an interest in playing many styles like jazz, blues, and classical. I may not be the most technical player but the one thing I do pride myself in is musicality. I am currently enrolled at Tarleton, seeking to better my technique and to grow as much as I can with the help and observation of others.
I have performed in public many times with local bands and on stage at TSU in productions like "Suessical the Musical" and "The Pirates of Penzance.'' I have an interest in many styles of music and have collected and learned how to play instruments from other cultures like the gu zheng (Chinese zither), the bagpipes, the erhu (Chinese spike fiddle) and the dizi (Chinese flute.) Some of the more normal instruments I like to pretend I know how to play are the guitar, cello, saxophone, flute, and the oboe.
I am always down to jam with new people anytime, and anywhere. Sharing music with others is something that can be a very healing experience and help you connect with others on a level that some people don't understand unless they've been there. Right now that is all I hope to do. Share music with others and be taught how to listen and appreciate what people do and understand where they're coming from with how they play music and share music.
